How Zebec Labs Grows Web3
Zebec Protocol is a Web3 ecosystem primarily focused on payment streaming — a groundbreaking technology that allows real-time payments using blockchain technology. To date, the Zebec Protocol has secured nearly $40 million in funding through two rounds, with investments from over 20 top-tier global institutions such as Coinbase, Distributed Global, OKX Blockdream Ventures, Circle Venture, and more.
Following the funding rounds, Zebec Protocol has been working to build a multi-chain platform, expanding from just Solana to BNB Chain and NEAR. At the same time, Zebec is working on launching Zebec Chain, in order to grow from a protocol into a public blockchain. Zebec Chain won’t just be a more reliable and efficient payment system — it is creating the first production-ready modular chain, capable of many more use cases which will accelerate Web3 adoption.
Zebec Labs and its ecosystem fund is aimed at promoting the prosperity of the Zebec ecosystem and the development of the crypto industry. We will continuously incubate research leaders who are on the cutting edge of the industry. We can aid these builders with financial incentives, technical support, and resource support.
Zebec Labs and Nautilus Chain
Zebec Labs’ first ecosystem fund will be $20,000,000 going toward incubating the Nautilus Chain ecosystem.
Nautilus Chain is a precursor to Zebec Chain. The project was inspired by Vitalik’s vision for L3 chains which can offer app-specific systems for enhanced dApp performance. Just as L2s can increase scaling by adding a new layer, L3s, or “modular chains” have separate layers that can be customized based on developer needs. With Nautilus Chain, developers can build high-throughput dApps with Solidity, leveraging parallel transaction processing even in an EVM environment.
Financial Incentives to Launch on Nautilus
We have devised the following incentive plan to help launch Nautilus Chain:
- A select panel of judges and the community will decide on the top 10 projects and award them “Monthly Captain Bounties.” The bounties will range from $5,000 to $10,000 in $ZBC, to be released in phases, depending on the amount. (The registration will be open in advance of the mainnet launch.)
- Projects on Nautilus Chain that achieve a TVL of over $5,000,000 in 3 months will have the opportunity to receive liquidity incentives provided by the ecosystem fund. Details on incentive applications will be announced after Nautilus on mainnet.
- High-quality projects may have the chance to receive direct investment from Modular Labs, with a maximum investment amount of $1,000,000, and the opportunity to receive additional follow-on investments from Modular Labs’ partner VCs.
- Zebec Labs will also provide bonuses and sponsorship support for hackathons, Layer 3 academic construction, and future BUIDL events.
